Reading the name of the accommodation one understands that it is a house by the sea. What is better, especially for the summer months. The initial of the name is the region in which it is located. “It is an area of Aegina that you see coming from the boat but very close. Specifically before turning to enter the port. This house, as Nektaria told me, belonged to a relative of hers. Its special architecture piqued her interest and so after consultation, she took advantage of it to decorate it so that it can host visitors both from Greece and abroad all months of the year. As for his philosophy? “I want visitors to feel comfortable in a space that has been created with a lot of love because of my profession. Everything I have done inside, I have done after much thought. I tried to make a space that is different from the usual, i.e. it has the color and the vibrancy, like the summer holidays. That is why there is a multitude of colors in the house. I wanted to mitch and match, making him with different elements. And when someone comes looking at the sea from the veranda, he has absolute peace and relaxation. My goal is for him to feel like he’s at home but also like he’s not.”
Plakakia Beach Front House: The grounds and amenities of the house
The Plakakia Beach Front House, although only 50 square meters, can comfortably accommodate four people, ideal for couples or groups of friends. It is independent, has a living room and a fully equipped built-in kitchen in a single space, a bedroom and a staircase that leads to a loft with 2 rooms and a bathroom.
There are, of course, all the comforts that every house has, from a washing machine, vacuum cleaners to detergents and a second set of sheets. The colors that dominate the spaces are white, shades of rotten apple, light blue and veraman. They are tied together in such a way that they make the visitor feel familiar as if they are literally at home.
The spaces combine the minimalist element with the classic while the colors give an air of renewal and freshness to the spaces. One of the benefits of the house is that Nektaria loves animals so much and is pet friendly. “The customer can bring their dog or their cat. In fact, I provide their animals with the corresponding accessories, their food, their plates, etc.”

Plakakia Beach Front House is just two minutes from the sea, five minutes from the center of the island and within 15-20 minutes one can take a coastal route that passes by attractions of Aegina, such as the Lighthouse of Bouza, the Museum of Kapralos , the house of the painter Nikolaos, the Archaeological Museum and the archaeological site of Colona. In one route through the pines he can see all these points on his way to the center.
